Short version: our tools run entirely in your browser. We don't collect, store, or sell your data — because we never receive it in the first place.
What we collect
Nothing. Every tool on Penguin Wearing a Hat runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you calculate, the passwords you generate, and the text you convert never leave your device and are never sent to our servers. We have no accounts, no sign-ups, and no analytics tracking you across the site.
Local storage
We store one small preference — your light/dark mode choice — in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it between visits. That's it. No cookies are set by us for tracking purposes.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps every tool free. Google and its partners may use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This lets Google and its partners show you ads matched to your interests.

External services
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and, on the QR Code Generator page only, a QR code library from a public CDN. Those providers may receive standard technical information (such as your IP address) when your browser fetches those files, governed by their own privacy policies.
